Filmstrack Review: The MEG

Directed by: John Turtletaub

Produced by: Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Colin Wilson and Belle Avery

Based on: Meg:  A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten

First time i saw the full action of a shark attack was on Nat Geo Wild. Here is a Sci-Fi movie about a rescue diver’s encounter with a Mega Shark. It all happen when a group of scientist was trapped in a nuclear submarine and Taylor (Jason Statham) who is a rescue diver was trying to save the last of the survivor then he sees the hull of the submarine which is being rammed by an unknown creature which would later be a 70ft  Shark. When he returns to the rescue vessel, two scientists are stuck in the damaged submarine. Taylor decides to leave, realizing that finishing the rescue would result in everyone perishing. The damaged sub then explodes. Taylor’s account of the story stating that a giant sea creature caused the disaster was dismissed by Dr. Heller, believing that Taylor was affected with pressure-induced psychosis.

Jason Statham along side many other actors and actress gave a nice performance in this movie with a budget between $130 – $178million.  Guess how much this movie from Warner Bros Pictures made in the box office  a whopping $416million. Waooh.

Please kindly drop your comments or review on this movie in the comment box. If you ask me it is actually a very nice movie.
